Payload Neovella Book 3 edition by Michael Siedlecki Humor Entertainment eBooks

Neovella, Volume III Payload was written via the exquisite cadaver method. Each writer submitted his or her individual entries, of varying length, to their respective stories, which were then followed by additional written additions by their co-authors (friends or strangers). Over time and a period of variable amusement, stories manifested from the ether of their collective creativities. The web service that seamlessly enables this method can be found at www.neovella.com.

Payload Neovella Book 3 edition by Michael Siedlecki Humor Entertainment eBooks
This book feels so much like a trippy, text version of Terry Gilliam's more "out there" movies...think Brazil.Michael Siedlecki was clearly on a mission to pour out his immense imagination onto the printed page and did so in spectacular fashion.
Only a matter of time before his brain clutters back up with more fantastic story ideas and characters.
Nothing about this novella is conventional from its characters, to the plots...and ending, which is what sets it so far apart from the typical "linear fiction" out there.
Sci-fi, goth, steampunk, psychedelic...this one's got them all and I wish I would have saved it for the 6 hour drive I have ahead of me.

Payload Neovella Book 3 edition by Michael Siedlecki Humor Entertainment eBooks Reviews
This is definitely the payload of short stories you've been waiting for. Weighed on the side of historical fiction, these stories are bound to turn both heads and irises as you get through their schitzophrenic but hilarious writing style. Dames & Detectives was easily the best mystery suspense I've ever kept pace with. "As I entered the back of the restaurant, I drew my weapon the severed arm wrapped in plastic. I cocked it and made sure it was full of ammo. This Jim wouldn't trick me. Just then, Jim tricked me. He stood on his chair and doves flew out of his hat. I clapped." Amazing work!
The title for this book is truly appropriate, because Neovella once again delivers its payload directly into the laugh center of my brain. While I always enjoy Cod Peiceington's hilarious and completely not-homosexual-at-all adventures, I am 100% confident in saying there is nothing funnier in existence than Dames & Detectives.
"I tipped the blackness and hailed an ocean. I tipped the ocean and hailed a dumpster, and we took off. This was getting out of hand. This murderer was right behind me. Or right in front of me and I was chasing him! The questions mounted. I told the dumpster driver to pull over up ahead. We were at City Hall, the place with all the answers and no questions asked."
Go and click the buy button right now, or you might just end up mysteriously murdering yourself.
What can I say about Neovella Series!!!! They are absolutely fantastic. I enjoyed it from start to finish, as with the previous ones. Once again, it did not fail to amaze me how different writers can come together to create such a masterpiece!!! My heartfelt thanks to all the writers. Please continue what you are doing.
I'd never heard of this concept or seen any of these stories until my brother gave me the book as a gift, I was quite taken with how absolutely absurd and whacky the stories are and how the content ranges from hilarious to hilarious! When I was given the book I really didn't expect it to be this funny and since then I'm now a big fan of the Neovella.com website and tend to visit almost daily, so you could say I'm hooked!!
These Novels are just simply massively beautiful, the stories are great and captivating, and the reading is smooth and enjoyable, and if you, like me, are reading the series from the beginning you will certainly agree with me that the stories are getting better and better as we move along. For those who haven't read it I'll recommend you start right away.
In college we did this exercise where we were each given this problem where there were 20 people on the top floors of a a burning building and every person had certain limitations and every exit had certain specific issues that prevented a mass exit. The best any ONE of us could do was get 5-6 people out of the building. The professor then put us in groups of fours to solve the problem. Every group of four got all the people out of the burning building and so it is with this book. One author might not have made something this great but a group of authors working together have created a true masterpiece.
Volume III is what you'd expect from the Neovella series, and then some. Cod Piecington's epic adventures come to a suspected close, but not without a grand fashion exit. The historical fiction stories on JFK and the American Revolution are beyond win and god, bringing us such amazing lines as
"Meanwhile in Britain... George III stumbled around, drunk on wine. He did a line of cocoa off of his diamond-studded dresser, which was paid for by the tax dollars of America. "Here's to taxation WITHOUT representation," he laughed as he continued to snort his lines of cocoa."
and
"The most notable occurrence in John's young life happened to be when his parents took him to see a movie. Walking out of "The Mark of Zorro," the three Kennedys (all of John's siblings had been forced to stay at home, because they were all terrible) found themselves in a dark alley and confronted by a common criminal. Robbing them, the criminal fired two bullets, executing John's parents before his very eyes. This event would be the defining moment in John F. Kennedy's life, and a major component of the campaign of vengeance that would take him right to the White House."
While NSFW and Ripped were somewhat lacking in a few of their stories (some worth more cringing than laughter), Payload is filled with only the top-notch stories. Read Payload if you want to feel like a boss.
